Saints Cyril and Methodius Day Celebration at the Bathurst Clark Resource Library

Saints Cyril and Methodius Day is a holiday, usually celebrated on 24 May in countries which observe Eastern Orthodox tradition. It commemorates the creation of the Slavic Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabets by the brothers Saints Cyril and Methodius. Yesterday we celebrated just that - Russian literature, poetry and prose. The celebration and performances took place at the Bathurst Clark Resource Library in Vaughan. Svetlana Roufanova, founder and chair of Russian Library and Community Information Centre, was the organizer. I presented some of my poems, which will all be posted here, including CANADA's Love of Mine.
